All About Me, Who is Committed to Your Safety

I first earned my Emergency Medical Technician Certification at the age of 17 and was certified as an EMT for six years. This helped me during the years, when I was on the Orange County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue Team.

My first full time Law Enforcement position was with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, where I put together a small Crime Prevention Program. I later put myself through the Police Academy and was hired by the California State University, Northridge Police Department. There I became the Department’s Crime Prevention Officer, where I developed several new programs (such as Project Child Safe). Twelve years later, I transferred to UCLA Police Department and worked there for 15 years.

My last four years at UCLA, I was their Crime Prevention Officer and continued to develop new programs like Run, Hide, Fight and Stop the Bleed. In 2005, I became a Red Cross Title 22 Instructor and taught classes for the Red Cross and both CSUN & UCLA Police Departments. I have been an NRA Instructor approximately 8 years teaching Boy Scouts. For the last 2 years, I have been a Range Safety Officer for the Wyoming Antelope Firing Range in Clearwater. in 2021, I retired after serving 32 years as a Police Officer for both the Federal Government (5 years) and the State of California (27 years).
